Hello to everyone:

Jeff here, just wanted to take a minute and update everyone on the funeral arrangements for Kari. Although we are using Tetrick funeral services, the overwhelming response for Kari has resulted in an offer from a large church for her visitation and funeral service. The pastor and congregation of Tri-Cities Baptist Church has offered the use of their church for our services to remember Kari. Just want to extend to him a sincere thank you.

Visitation for Kari: 2-5pm this Sunday, April 12th at Tri-Cities Baptist Church off Interstate 26.

Funeral: Immediately following visitation at approx 5pm.

Grave site service: Monday at 11am at Monte Vista cemetery there off Oakland aver in Johnson City.

Instead of sending flowers we would ask that you consider a donation to Kari’s Heart Foundation. For those of you that don’t know, Kari’s story inspired the formation of a charity that helps other children and their families socially, financially, etc. when they are hospitalized. If you wish to contribute you can log on to the web-site, at karisheartfoundation.org and contribute securely via pay-pal or send a check to Kari’s heart foundation, PO box 6165 Johnson city, Tn 37602.

Thank you for all the wonderful wishes via email, text and on the caringbridge site. Reading these in the midst of my deepest valley helps me to refocus my attention to the legacy she seems to be creating- strange, I know, to say this about a 7 month old…. but true. I am so proud to be her dad- she was just such a joy to be with.

For those of you that wondered via email, yes, time did stop for us, life did not go on, and the world DID stop turning. She has only been gone a single day, but it literally feels like a lifetime. We miss her so, so much and find comfort in just knowing what a huge part she was in so many lives.

We hope many of you are able to attend on Sunday, if so we will see you there. God Bless,

Jeff
